Happy is the person who knows what to remember
 of the past,
what to enjoy in the present,
and what to plan for in the future

Matthew 1:20-21

“But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

Today Is The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life....

We can begin every morning with a day with no mistakes in it—so far at least. Every day will not be perfect, but we can determine to make it a day of adventure and achievement, a day to live and enjoy. Or we can determine to simply survive another boring and unproductive day.

Even Jesus in Matthew 7:11 taught us to pray each day for the things we need when he said, “Give us this day, our daily bread.” Then in verse 34 he tells us in his Sermon on the Mount, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” So to simply live one day at a time is something that Jesus taught also.

Paul gives us words of comfort in 2nd Corinthians 4:16 when he wrote, “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”

So let’s take comfort knowing that God is taking care of our physical and spiritual needs today, and if he blesses us with another day, he will take care of those needs also.

Just something to think about!

Blble Verse Today

John 13:34-35

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Christmas

Hello friends,
Thinking of you all during this Christmas season,
and as we busy ourselves with shopping and gift buying,
I felt prompted to keep reminding all of us  to remember the true meaning
of Christmas.
Have a happy week,
Kerry :-)

LUKE 1:30-33
30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

Reach for your Star

Reach for your Star

Do not take anything as being forever
because forever is only as long as today.

Know that the people who are richest
are not those who have the most,
but those who need the least.
We are at our strongest
when life is at its worst,
and at our weakest
when life no longer offers a challenge.

It is wiser not to expect but to hope,
for in expecting you ask for disappointment,
whereas in hoping you invite surprise.

Unhappiness doesn't come
from not having something that you want,
but from the lack of something inside that you need.

There are things to hold on too,
and things to let go,
and letting go doesn't mean you lose,
but that you acquire that which has been waiting
around the corner.

Most of all,
remember to use your dreams
as a way of knowing yourself better,
and as inspiration
to reach for your star.......

A Quote for Today

“If the day and the night are such that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry, more immortal - that is your success.”
Henry David Thoreau

Thought for Today

“Love is hard to believe, ask any lover.
Life is hard to believe, ask any scientist.
God is hard to believe, ask any believer.
What is your problem with hard to believe?”
