Humour for Today

Morning Prayer for You

I arise today,
conscious of the forgiveness
of God the Father,
conscious of the companionship
of God the Son,
conscious of the guidance
of God the Spirit,
conscious of the unity
of the Trinity,
Three in One

Church sign

Not liking someone is no excuse for not loving them.

Colossians 3:12-14 says, Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Also, in John 13:34-35, Jesus said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Loving others isn't an option; it's a requirement -- a command. As a follower of Christ, there are no excuses for not loving someone.

Humour for today....

A breakthrough requires a trial to break through.

It would be nice to simply wake up one day and suddenly be a mature Christian, but in order to grow up in God, we will have to go through trials. There is no other way to grow strong spiritually than to go through trials.
1 Peter 5:10 says, And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. You may not like trials, but this verse says that when you are going through trials after you have suffered a little while, you will grow to be firmly rooted and grounded (strong, firm and steadfast) in God.
Similarly, James 1:12 says, Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. Here again, you don't get the rewards (the crown of life) until you have persevered under trial and stood the test.
So, learn to be thankful in your trials, because in order to get your breakthrough, you need a trial to break through.
Therefore, don't be discouraged during times of suffering. Know that after you have suffered a little while, God himself will make you strong firm and steadfast.

An Inspirational Story about Life - "The Man and the Butterfly"

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. - Psalm 34:10 (NIV)

Psalm 34 is all about praising the Almighty. Here, David praises God for his deliverance.

The lion, even young and strong lions, do not always catch their prey. Time after time, however, the believer is able to attest how God has met their needs.

How sweet that the Lord shows His goodness to us again and again. We grow weak more often than the mighty lion and are blessed far more. When you focus on the needs God has met in your life, you will find yourself praising Him like David.

Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

"THE ART OF THE HEART"
ENCOURAGEMENT is one of God's most joyous art forms. He supplies us with the materials and invites us to create, build and shape his hope in the lives of those around us. Some people combine a helping hand with a word of praise and produce a grateful, happy heart. Others, by mixing laughter and love, are able to paint new sparkle in dulling eyes. belief and support build self-esteem. Persistent prayer composes a song of hope and tenderness and warm embraces fashion a friend. However, we combine the elements of encouragement, one thing we're sure to create is joy- for others, for ourselves and for our LORD.

SIMPLE THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

A wise man once sat in the
audience & cracked a joke.
All laughed like crazy. After a
moment, he cracked the same
joke again and a little less people
laughed this time.
He cracked the same joke again
& again, when there was no
laughter in the crowd, he smiled
and said, "When you can't laugh on
the same joke again & again,
then why do you keep crying over
the same thing over and over
again...

Deuteronomy 31:6

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

I am so thankful that Gods hand always reaches where we need it!!
He is always present, and ALWAYS LOVES US  :)

Just for fun

Psalm 33:12

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.”

God won't ask what kind of car you drove, but will ask how many people you drove home who didn't have transportation.

God won't ask how much overtime you worked, but will ask if you worked overtime for your family and loved ones.

God won't ask what you did to help yourself ,but will ask what you did to help others.

God won't ask how many friends you had,but will ask how many people to whom you were a true friend.

God won't ask what you did to protect your rights, but will ask what you did to protect the rights of others.

God won't ask how many times your deeds matched your words, but will ask how many times they didn't.
